Eskom load shedding notice not updated

FOR three-consecutive days, at the time of this writing (June 16), I had consulted the Eskom website for an indication about whether load shedding would blight our days.

And, for three-consecutive days, the notice has announced that “we are currently load shedding in Stage 3, due to…” blah, blah, blah. Whereas, in reality, we have been spared the rod. Which suggests that, aside from the criminal neglect of our generating equipment for the past decade or so, Eskom is equally complacent in correctly informing the public about the state of play.

Surely to goodness, and even in that haven of sheltered employment for the intellectually challenged, there must be somebody whose job it is to ensure the accuracy of such announcements? Or am I being unduly optimistic?
