Golden Arrow Award for university’s Graduate School of Business and Leadership

THE University of KwaZulu-Natal’s (UKZN) Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L) has been ranked second in the 2021 Professional Market Research Africa (PMR.africa) annual national survey of South African accredited business schools offering MBA degrees.

The school scored 8.05 out of 10 (one up from last year), to achieve the high ranking and thereby receive a Golden Arrow Award.

The long-standing and respected PMR rankings celebrate excellence. PMR.africa’s goal is to acknowledge and set a benchmark for others to aspire to, and to create opportunities for teams or divisions within companies and institutions to be recognised for their hard work.

Commenting on the award, Interim Dean and Head of the Business School, Professor Ana Martins said: “The GSB&L is very proud to have been ranked second in this year’s PMR.africa awards. This rise in our ranking is encouraging, because it is an indication of the school’s competitiveness, excellence and resilience. It is also evidence that we have improved our customer service, resulting in greater customer satisfaction.

“The accolade further indicates that students are pleased with the way the GSB&L has adapted to the online teaching and learning environment since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, and that it is meeting their needs, in spite of the challenges currently faced,” Martins

added.
